Craft Fair Essentials for Your Next Market
You’ve spent weeks preparing your products, perfecting your display, and getting excited for your next craft fair. But what happens if you forget something crucial? Don’t let a missing item stump you on the big day! Whether it’s your first time or you’re a seasoned vendor, here’s a quick guide to help you cover all the essentials—just in case!
1. A Good Lookin’ Booth and Table Display
Your booth is your storefront, so make it eye-catching and inviting! Use a clean, on-brand tablecloth to create a cohesive look, and invest in display stands or shelves to showcase your products at different heights. Add lighting (like battery-powered string lights) to highlight your items, especially if the venue is dimly lit.
TIP: I suggest a U-Shape or L-Shape design for a nice flow for your customers to shop through!
PRO TIP: Bring extra tablecloth to cover your booth if you end up needing to step away to use the bathroom!
2. Signage & Business Cards
Clear signage is a must! It helps steer customers in the right direction and provides them with the information they are looking for. And don’t forget to bring plenty of business cards: they’re a simple yet effective way to stay connected with potential customers after the event. For added convenience, consider including a QR code on your signage or cards that links directly to your website or social media. It’s an easy way to keep the conversation going!
TIP: I suggest Vistaprint for all your printing/signage needs!
3. Snacks, Water, Utensils, and Napkins!
Craft fairs can be long and exhausting, so pack snacks and water to keep your energy up throughout the day. If you’re selling food or drink items, don’t forget utensils, napkins, and any other supplies your customers (or even you!) might need. Staying fueled and prepared ensures you can focus on engaging with customers and making sales.
TIP: Gum. Lip balm. Extra layer in case the AC is blasting. And floss picks. Your welcome!
4. Shoes
You’ll be on your feet all day, so think comfortable! Opt for supportive footwear that can handle hours of standing and walking. Your feet will thank you.
TIP: I’m all about Allbirds. They have the comfiest shoes on the market—honest!
